Get ready to dive into the action with Save The Bay’s largest and most iconic annual fundraiser, The Swim! Since 1977, athletes and advocates have been inspired to take on the challenge of a two-mile open water swim across Narragansett Bay’s East Passage, raising both funds and awareness for Save The Bay’s mission to protect and improve Narragansett Bay. As a fundraiser, The Swim directly supports Save The Bay’s educational programs, advocacy efforts, and habitat restoration initiatives. But it’s not just about the fundraising – The Swim is a community event that brings together hundreds of swimmers, kayakers, and volunteers to celebrate the recreational benefits of Narragansett Bay. The AMTA RI Community Outreach Team will be there on Saturday, August 8, 2026, to give massages to the swimmers from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm! Plus, each volunteer will receive a commemorative t-shirt to remember this amazing event. So what are you waiting for? Join us for The Swim and make a splash in support of Save The Bay’s mission to protect and improve Narragansett Bay!
