Summary - MedTech Innovation Summit

The MedTech Innovation Summit is designed to be a strategic networking and knowledge sharing event that brings together early-stage MedTech startups with public and private trade and investment stakeholders, as well as corporate acquirers seeking innovation through M&A opportunities.

Building on the success of last year’s event, this year we’re expanding our focus to include mergers and acquisitions as a key component, recognising that M&A represents a vital exit strategy for venture capital and investor companies. This enhanced scope opens the conversation to larger corporate organisations actively seeking to acquire innovative, funded startups, creating a comprehensive ecosystem from early-stage funding through to strategic exits.

With a focus on fostering collaboration and positioning companies for funding success, the event aligns with the funding competitions run by InnovateUK, UKRI and InnoSuisse that incentivise partnership and collaboration between similar UK and Swiss startups.

Additionally, private investors will also attend the event to share information regarding the broader investment and funding landscape as well as be on hand to share guidance on how early-stage companies should position themselves to maximise opportunities from the funding environment. Corporate representatives will also participate to identify potential acquisition targets and share insights on what makes startups attractive for strategic M&A.
