Three Topics. Three Conversations. One Hour to Build Your Network.
Looking to connect with experienced architects and other professionals at CACX’26? Join AIA Connecticut for a fast-paced, interactive Speed Networking Session designed to create meaningful conversations around career development, mentorship, and licensure.
Over the course of 60 minutes, participants will rotate through three topic-focused tables, spending 10 minutes with experienced professionals at each. Come with questions, leave with new connections, and gain practical insight from professionals who have been there.

How it Works
When you arrive, you’ll receive a Speed Networking Card in your CACX’26 registration folder or badge packet. Your card will identify your starting topic and include sample
questions to help get the conversation started.
The session will begin with a brief overview of the format. Participants will then rotate through three topic tables, spending approximately 10 minutes at each table.
A two-minute warning will be given before each rotation, allowing the group to wrap up their conversation and move to the next topic.
Each participant will have the opportunity to connect with professionals across all three topics:
Career Path
Explore the different directions an architecture career can take and hear firsthand perspectives from experienced professionals.
Conversation topics may include:
- Choosing a specialty
- Leadership opportunities
- Career pivots

Conversation topics may include:

What to Expect
Each 10-minute conversation will begin with quick introductions before opening into a group discussion. Professionals will help facilitate the conversation, but participants are encouraged to bring their own questions and topics.
The goal is simple: real conversations, practical advice, and new connections.
The session will close with a brief reflection, giving participants a chance to share one takeaway or piece of advice that stood out to them.
Space is limited. Register for the CACX’26 Speed Networking Session and come ready to connect.
