Join the Palmetto GBA Part B Provider Outreach and Education team on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET for an informative webinar on the Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), Form CMS-R-131. 

An advance written notice of non-coverage is issued by providers, physicians, practitioners, and suppliers to Original Medicare (fee-for-service - FFS) beneficiaries in situations where Medicare payment is expected to be denied. When used appropriately, the ABN helps Medicare patients make informed decisions about whether to get items and services Medicare usually covers but may not pay for because they’re not medically necessary or are considered custodial care.

This live webinar session will provide important information about when to issue an ABN, where to find the form, and instructions on how to complete it. Learn about delivery, triggering events, modifiers and more.

A NPI and PTAN are required to register. You should only enter 'N/A' if you do not have a NPI or PTAN. The event may end early if all content has been presented and questions have been addressed.
