The BioInteractive 2-Year College Educator Community is a Community of Practice whose members work to enhance their teaching by expanding their scientific content knowledge and adopting BioInteractive resources and evidence-based teaching practices.
Participants of the 2027 cohort will learn about cutting-edge genetics research and explore high quality classroom resources and strategies to teach genetics in introductory biology.

- Attending a teaching-focused conference at HHMI (Chevy Chase, MD) with full travel support (preliminary agenda).
- Optional - full travel and registration support to present a poster at the National Association for Biology Teachers (NABT) conference in 2028 (contingent on proposal acceptance).
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- teach full- or part-time at a 2-year college in the 50 United States or D.C., and plan to do so for the next 3 years
- teach at least 6 life science course sections each year at a 2-year college, including one introductory biology courseĀ
- have at least 3 years of experience teaching life science at the 2-year college level
- have not attended a national science education conference in the last 3 years (e.g., NABT, NSTA, ASMCUE, ABLE, HAPS, SABER)
