Self-Paced Online Preparation & Implementation Training

AUDIENCE

Preparation & Implementation training is designed for administrators or leadership teams interested in preparing for and implementing Check & Connect.

 

This training option is ideally suited for sites —

  • Exploring this student engagement intervention.
  • Preparing to implement the program.
  • Onboarding new team members.

 

This training content is not designed for mentors.

TRAINING OVERVIEW

After completing this training, participants will be able to —

  • Lead implementation with confidence.
  • Administer a systematic and structured intervention that is both data-informed and evidence-based.
  • Facilitate change and increase student engagement by connecting a caring mentor to students at-risk of dropping out.
  • Apply the conceptual framework for moving students toward successful school completion along the continuum of Attend, Engage, and Invest.

PRICING 

$339 per participant

All registered participants must complete training within three weeks of receiving access to the training videos. Training start dates may not be delayed. Please complete registration when you are ready to begin training.

MATERIALS

A set of training materials will be shipped to you to support your learning experience:

  • Participant Guide
  • Check & Connect Implementing with Fidelity manual
  • Access to a suite of digital resources (PDF, Word, and Excel)

Shipping Details

  • Please note that we are not able to ship materials to a PO Box
  • An additional $75 shipping charge will apply to addresses in Alaska, Hawaii
  • An additional $100 shipping charge will apply to addresses outside the US
  • The​ international shipping charge does not include customs fees or any charges related to customs clearance. The customer/purchaser is responsible for all customs fees that may apply in their country.

  • All transactions are final.

Process

  • Shipping Expectations: Materials will be shipped within 2 to 7 business days after registration. Participants will receive shipping updates directly from FedEx via email.

  • International: For international orders outside of the USA, packages will be shipped via DHL. Please allow additional time for international shipping and handling.
  • Within 3 business days, you will receive an email invitation to create your password.
  • If paying by PO, you will receive an invoice from the University of Minnesota by email within 1–2 weeks, with instructions for making payment by check or credit card.

3 Week Expiration

  • Your password to access the 2.5-hour training will expire 3 weeks from the date registered.
