About the Program

Wharton Circles is a groundbreaking program designed to facilitate personal and professional connections among Wharton alumni. Participants are thoughtfully matched with small groups of alumni based on their locations. 

Format

Hybrid: connect from anywhere in the world — meet in person when possible

Frequency: six meetings between November and June

Duration: 1–1.5 hours per meeting

This unique initiative is based on authentic bonds and genuine engagement. These are not traditional networking groups, nor are they industry-focused. Participation is free, and the only “cost” is an alum’s engagement and commitment. 

This program is funded by the Susan and Carl Bolch, Jr. Fund. 

“At first, I wasn’t sure about the composition of the group since not everyone was a WG. Two are W undergrads and [one] a W PhD. The balance has been amazing. Everyone brings different thoughts and ideas to each meeting. We have talked about a few personal things as well as troubleshooted professional issues (politics in the workplace, should X sell her business? how can Y find a good coach?, etc.) It’s been a bonus both professionally and personally.”
