Every Piece Matters: Empowering LTAs to Support Resilient and Engaged Learners - Session 1

UFT Teacher Center has designed all-day learning opportunities to support paraprofessionals in the role as Lead Teacher Assistant.  These sessions focus on building knowledge and skill in the areas of instruction and leadership.

• LTAs will build relationships and foster belonging to create supportive environments that promote resilience.
• LTAs will support learning and student independence through effective 1:1 and small-group strategies that build confidence and persistence.
• LTAs will engage students through purposeful questioning and language supports that encourage voice, participation, and problem-solving.
• LTAs will collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals to reflect on practice, leverage strengths, and enhance instruction and student success.
