As part of the 2025 State of the University Policy Agenda, this systemwide training will guide faculty, staff and student leaders in how to strengthen support for students with disabilities, with a particular focus on neurodiversity. Developed with subject matter experts from across the SUNY system, this fully self-paced online training provides practical guidance for SUNY employees and students who interact with and support students in academic, residential, and campus life settings.
The training includes four instructional modules and can be completed in approximately two hours:
- Module 1: Introduction to Disability and Neurodiversity
- Module 2: Legal Frameworks Governing Disability and Neurodiversity
- Module 3: Supporting Neurodiversity in Digital Environments
- Module 4. Practical Strategies for Supporting Neurodiversity
The training will be available systemwide through the SUNY Center for Professional Development. Enrollment is done on a weekly basis on Mondays'. If you are registering after the Monday of a given week, your enrollment will be processed the following Monday.
