As part of Australian Arbitration Week, Secretariat is pleased to invite you to a panel discussion exploring what makes expert evidence effective, and where it commonly falls short.

Framed around three key facets: the person, the report, and the evidence.

Leading arbitrators, counsel, lawyers, and experts with a wide range of experience will come together to examine how tribunals and practitioners can effectively distinguish genuinely objective expert opinion from advocacy disguised as expertise.

Panelists will consider the characteristics of effective experts, what strong expert reports and cross-examination look like in practice, the foundational principles underpinning credible expert opinion, and the role of supporting evidence as the backbone of any reliable report.
