Join the Engineers Australia Gold Coast Regional Committee for its 2026 End-of-Year Event, featuring Chloe Guye, winner of the IPWEA-QNT Annual Conference Futures Challenge Award, and Grant Gabriel, CEO of ARRC, as keynote speaker.

The Advanced Resource Recovery Centre (ARRC) is a major waste and recycling infrastructure program being developed by the City of Gold Coast to support long-term resource recovery and sustainable waste management outcomes.  This presentation will provide an overview of the project's objectives, delivery strategy and staged implementation approach across organics processing, recycling operations and residual waste management. Attendees will gain insight into the engineering, planning and infrastructure considerations associated with delivering a large-scale circular economy precinct.

The session will also examine how the project is designed to increase resource recovery, reduce landfill dependency, support regional industry development and contribute to environmental performance objectives. Grant Gabriel will share lessons from project leadership and discuss the challenges and opportunities involved in delivering one of Australia's largest resource recovery initiatives.

As the Gold Coast Regional Group's end-of-year event, the session will also provide an opportunity for members and industry professionals to connect, celebrate the year's achievements and strengthen local professional networks.

This event is hosted by the Gold Coast Regional Committee.
