This online course was developed in response to California Assembly Bill 1114 that allows pharmacists to bill Medi-Cal for furnishing hormonal contraception and providing counseling on safe and effective contraception as authorized in Section 4052.9 of the Business and Professions Code. This course provides pharmacists with the knowledge and skills needed to function as a reimbursable provider of self-administered hormonal contraception.
