Registration is now open for the 2026 News Literacy Summer Academy!
The Center for News Literacy at Stony Brook University is excited to offer fresh lessons and new resources to help you and your students confront the challenges of the digital age, from information overload to AI.
The academy will run Monday, July 13-Thursday to July 16, from 9:30am-4:00pm.
Presentations and workshops will take place on Zoom.
- Earn 20 CTLE hours in just four days with our synchronous and asynchronous online program.
- Help your students earn a NYS Seal of Civic Readiness.
- Receive The Feed, a weekly newsletter with fresh news literacy lessons and resources ready for use in the classroom.
- Hear presentations and participate in Q&A sessions with curriculum experts and educators who have taught News Literacy to K-12 students.
- Get unlimited access to the News Literacy Digital Resource Center.
The fee for the academy is $550 per teacher or $500 per teacher for districts that register three or more participants.
The registration deadline is 5:00pm on Wednesday, July 8.
