Be ready for challenges: How SyncVision and laser can serve as strategic tools in solving complex IVUS-guided PCI
This two-day advanced course is designed to prepare interventional cardiologists to confidently manage complex and high-risk PCI scenarios.
Focusing on a challenge-based approach, the program combines IVUS-guided strategies with the use of adjunctive technologies such as SyncVision and laser, positioning them as key tools to solve procedural difficulties and optimize outcomes.
Through expert-led sessions, live cases, and hands-on training, participants will learn how to “look deeper” with imaging and respond effectively to complications, from lesion preparation to bailout strategies
Course objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand and define complexity in PCI, including CHIP patient characteristics
- Apply imaging-guided strategies for procedural planning and decision-making
- Interpret IVUS imaging for plaque assessment, calcium characterization, and vessel sizing
- Select appropriate strategies for complex lesion subsets (e.g., CTO, bifurcations, calcified lesions)
- Integrate adjunctive tools such as laser and co-registration systems into clinical practice
- Recognize and manage procedural complications using IVUS guidance
- Apply bailout strategies for coronary perforation, rupture, dissections, and intramural hematoma
- Improve efficiency and outcomes in the cath lab through imaging optimization techniques
