About
The Academy aims to deliver fundamental victim advocacy training to individuals assisting crime victims and to underscore the significance of social networking and collaboration in improving service delivery within the victim services sector.
This Academy will feature a 40-hour comprehensive curriculum spanning five consecutive days. Training topics will cover: the Victim Rights Act, Criminal Justice 101, Domestic Violence 101, Crisis Intervention, Victim Compensation, a Survivor panel, and so much more!
The curriculum encompasses the full breadth of victim services and has been refined to address unique and specific issues pertinent to Colorado. While the Academy offers an intensive experience, it will undoubtedly enhance your capability to support crime victims. The knowledge and skills acquired will bolster your confidence. You will be among peers who understand your challenges. We eagerly anticipate working and learning alongside you at the Academy!

Complete this training and earn your Basic Victim Advocate Certification at a special discounted rate. Normally a new certification application is $75, but when you attend the Academy, you’ll receive it at a reduced cost. Plus you’ll have a full year to complete and submit your certification application. This option is only available for those who are physically in attendance at the February 2026 Basic Academy. - Members can join the Academy for $550, or $600 with certification included.
- Non-members can attend for $600, or $650 with certification.

Please note that attendees will handle their own Per Diem (travel, lodging, and meals).
Deadlines

Cancellation Policy: We understand that plans change. Refunds (minus a $50 processing fee) are available if we receive written cancellation by October 12, 2026. After October 12, 2026, refunds are not available.
