Health Beyond Healthcare Initiative Workshop - Bismarck, North Dakota

The first workshop of the Western Governors’ Association’s (WGA) Chair initiative, Health Beyond Healthcare, will be held in Bismarck, North Dakota, on September 1 and 2 at the Radisson Hotel.  This workshop, hosted by North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong, will explore topics related to mental health access, delivery of mental health services, and efforts to prioritize prevention and early intervention.  Policymakers and experts from across the West will participate in discussions examining community-based care, mental health diversion, youth mental health, digital environments, and more.  

Health Beyond Healthcare is the 2027 WGA Chair initiative of Hawaiʻi Governor Josh Green.  The initiative focuses on strengthening mental health outcomes across western states and territories by addressing both clinical care and the broader conditions that are foundational to mental health and well-being.
