Learn to supervise other coaches!
This dynamic course will provide the requisite foundation to supervise executive coaches and to develop yourself as a coach in a field of ever-increasing relevance and importance.
Supervision is a formal and structured, facilitated conversation between a coach-supervisor and coaches to reflect on the coaches’ practice, well-being and development.
After a review of the major approaches to coaching supervision and the key topics in the field, participants in this course will practice both being supervised and supervising active executive coaches.
In group discussions guided by highly experienced instructor, Susan Ennis, participants will explore the tenets central to effective coach supervision and review the research and competencies as they relate to those learning concepts. Each of the five, bi-monthly, 90-minute group sessions will provide an opportunity for learners to practice, discuss, and reflect on the challenges and successes of their ongoing supervision experiences. Group sessions will be conducted virtually via Zoom. In between group sessions, students will get the chance to supervise newly-minted and experienced coaches sourced by the instructor.
Group discussions in-class will employ roleplay exercises and practice supervision sessions. Outside of class, reading assignments relevant to core curriculum concepts and real-time practice sessions with active coaches will provide participants foundational knowledge and skills for success in executive coaching supervision.
Registrants should have at least 5 years of coaching experience to participate.
