Event Terms and Conditions

WittKieffer and Healthcare Leaders Events

These Event Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to registration for and attendance at any Healthcare Leaders or other WittKieffer event (each, an “Event”). These Terms are an agreement between Witt/Kieffer Inc., including its subsidiaries (“WittKieffer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the person registering for or attending the Event (“Attendee”). By registering for or attending an Event, Attendee confirms that Attendee is at least 18 years old, able to attend, and agrees to these Terms. If Attendee does not agree, Attendee cannot attend the Event.

Registration and Payment

Event attendance is limited, and all registrations are subject to availability and acceptance by WittKieffer. To register, Attendee must complete the registration process and pay any required fee. Fees may exclude applicable taxes and duties, which may be collected with registration. Each party is responsible for taxes imposed on that party under these Terms.

Badges and Entry

Event badges are issued only to the person named on the registration, must be worn during the Event, and cannot be shared, transferred, or used by anyone else. Photo identification may be required. A badge allows general Event entry but does not guarantee admission to every session, meeting area, or activity, which may depend on capacity, eligibility, or other requirements.

Professionalism

Events are professional gatherings. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and guests must act professionally, courteously, and respectfully, whether in person or online. WittKieffer does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or bullying for any reason, including any characteristic protected by applicable law. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior must comply immediately. WittKieffer may, without warning or refund, deny entry, remove a person from the Event, or bar future registration or attendance for any violation of these Terms.

Antitrust and Competition Compliance

Because Events may bring together competitors, Attendee must avoid any discussion or activity that could raise antitrust or competition-law concerns, including discussions about prices, pricing strategies, customers, markets, or agreements that could restrict competition. Events are intended to share insights and advance leadership practices while complying with applicable laws.

Health and Safety

Attendee is responsible for deciding whether Attendee is fit to attend and participate. Attendee must follow applicable laws, venue rules, posted instructions, and Event staff directions, and should not attend if unwell. Admission and attendance may be subject to health and safety policies set by WittKieffer, the venue, or government authorities. Attendee understands that gatherings carry communicable-illness risks and that no protocol can eliminate them.

Assumption of Risk

AN EVENT INCLUDES IN-PERSON SESSIONS, FOOD, ALCOHOL AND BEVERAGES, AND MAY INCLUDE OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES AND TRANSPORTATION TO THOSE ACTIVITIES. ATTENDEE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT PARTICIPATION INVOLVES INHERENT RISKS, INCLUDING WEATHER, VEHICLES, UNEVEN TERRAIN, GOLF CARTS, GOLF BALLS AND EQUIPMENT, TRAVEL, ALLERGIES, ILLNESS, PROPERTY LOSS, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH, WHETHER CAUSED BY ATTENDEE, ANOTHER PERSON, AN ACT OF GOD, OR ANY OTHER SOURCE. ATTENDEE VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISKS ARISING FROM ATTENDEE’S ATTENDANCE AT, AND PARTICIPATION IN, THE EVENT.

Release and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Attendee releases WittKieffer and its affiliates, sponsors, venues, officers, employees, and agents from all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising from Attendee’s attendance at or participation in the Event, whether brought by Attendee or by anyone claiming on Attendee’s behalf or as a result of Attendee’s injury or death.

WE AND OUR AFFILIATES AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO ATTENDEE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, CUSTOMERS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AND OUR AFFILIATES’ AND LICENSORS’ AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED USD $100. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY ONLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

Photography, Recording, and Media

Attendee consents to being photographed, filmed, and recorded at the Event and grants WittKieffer and its affiliates, agents, employees, and assigns an irrevocable, non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use Attendee’s name, image, likeness, voice, and statements in any media for any purpose (e.g., promotional, business) without compensation. If Attendee has any limitation on what may be shared or used, Attendee should contact privacy@wittkieffer.com, and WittKieffer will accommodate commercially reasonable requests. Attendee may take photographs at the Event for personal, non-commercial use only if not disruptive or infringing, and may not publish, sell, reproduce, transmit, distribute, commercially exploit, or record any presentation or session. WittKieffer is not liable for the capture of Attendee’s image or voice by other attendees.

Virtual Events

Attendee is responsible for keeping any access link, password, meeting invitation, or login credential confidential and may not share, transfer, post, or make it available to others. Attendee is responsible for the equipment, internet connection, browser, software, and other technology needed to access the Event, and WittKieffer is not responsible for Attendee’s inability to access or participate. Virtual Events may be hosted on third-party platforms and subject to the provider’s terms, privacy notices, security features, and functionality. Attendee may not record, download, livestream, screenshot, copy, redistribute, capture, or share any virtual Event session, attendee list, presentation, or Event Material without WittKieffer’s prior written permission. WittKieffer may, without warning or refund, disable or remove Attendee from an Event or bar future registration or attendance for any violation of these Terms.

Speakers and Event Materials

The views and opinions expressed by attendees, speakers, sponsors, or exhibitors are their own and do not necessarily reflect WittKieffer’s views, and WittKieffer is not liable for advice given, views expressed, or materials provided in connection with the Event. Materials provided by WittKieffer or third parties during the Event (“Event Materials”) remain the property of their respective owners. Attendee may use Event Materials only for Attendee’s internal, non-commercial purposes and may not reuse, copy, republish, distribute, post, or commercially exploit them without the owner’s written permission.

Attendee Information and Privacy

We process Attendee’s personal information under applicable laws and our Privacy Policy. We use Attendee’s information to administer registration and participation, including Event communications, logistics, payment, and updates. Where not prohibited by law, we may share limited registration information, such as Attendee’s name, company, and job title, with Event sponsors and exhibitors and may include it on a delegate list made available to attendees. No Refunds

Unless an Event registration form includes a written refund policy, all registration fees are non-refundable. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided for cancellation, non-attendance, late arrival, early departure, denied entry, or removal from the Event. WittKieffer is not responsible for travel, lodging, incidental, or other Event-related expenses. WittKieffer may, in its sole discretion, approve substitution of another attendee if requested before the Event.

Changes, Cancellation, and Force Majeure

WittKieffer may modify, postpone or cancel the schedule, program, speakers, venue, format, or activities (including golf and other optional activities) at any time for any reason (e.g., health, security, weather, speaker cancellation). WittKieffer will not be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in holding the Event, or for any damages (direct or indirect) resulting from any modification, postponement, or cancellation including, without limitation, acts of God or nature, fire, flood, or severe weather; epidemic, pandemic, or other public-health event; government orders or guidance; labor disputes; civil unrest or acts of terrorism; failure of utilities or carriers; or the unavailability of the venue. Except as WittKieffer may otherwise determine in its sole discretion, registration fees remain non-refundable in these circumstances. 

Additional Terms

These Terms supplement the WittKieffer Terms of Service, available at https://wittkieffer.com/terms-of-service. Attendee and WittKieffer agree that all disputes will be governed by, and resolved under, the WittKieffer Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the WittKieffer Terms of Service with respect to the subject matter of an Event, these Terms control. We may modify these Terms at any time, and modified Terms will become effective upon posting. By attending the Event after the effective date of any modification, Attendee agrees to be bound by the modified Terms. We last modified these Terms on the date listed at the top of these Terms. If any portion of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions will remain in full force and effect.

By registering for or attending the Event, Attendee acknowledges that Attendee has read, understood, and agrees to be bound by these Terms.
