Ugandan dancer, educator, and musician Godfrey Muwulya returns to the Island with his high-energy workshops in East African traditional dances, drumming, and music for all ages. Since his first visit in 2011, Godfrey has worked with students Island-wide, teaching dance and prepping the students to compete in a friendly and popular African Dance and Drumming Battle. Godfrey starts by introducing the piece, the region where it was developed and about the people and culture it belongs to. His enthusiasm and expertise has touched many souls of all ages on the Island. Slough Farm is excited to continue this long collaboration with Muwulya and Martha's Vineyard that The Yard created and nourished for over a decade.
