Course Overview and Instructions
The Simulation Instructor workshop is designed to help Educators learn how to effectively use the modality of simulation in the building of educational curricula. This intensive two day workshop will provide the theories and best practices related to the facilitation and debriefing of simulation sessions designed for a variety of learning objectives. Participants will have the opportunity to create simulation scenarios, facilitate the delivery of the scenario and debrief learners using a variety of models. As each course is limited to 6 participants, this provides maximum opportunity for engagement and practice.
Target audience
Novice or intermediate developers of simulation based education.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the workshop, the Learner should be able to:
- Describe simulation based learning.
- Outline the role and responsibilities of the Simulation Instructor.
- Identify the planning process and resources necessary to run an effective simulation.
- Utilize various debriefing models when facilitating simulation sessions.
- Integrate simulation based education into program development.

Course Fee and Refund Information
Course fees are $750.00.
Fees include all materials.
A full refund will be applied should a cancellation be received prior to 1 week in advance of the course start date. Cancellations within a week of the start date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
