The URI Pesticide License Exam Preparation Class is offered on a monthly basis via Zoom and in person. The preparation class is designed to familiarize applicants with the information needed to pass the RI Pesticide License Exam given by the RI Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM). The 2.5 (zoom) or 3 hour (in person) training sessions will cover general principles of pesticide application, environmental and personal safety, RI laws, label interpretation, signal words, terminology used in landscaping, commercial and household pest control, and more.
All classes will be offered from 8 AM -10:30 AM via zoom or 2-5 PM in person on:

During the registration process you will be able to choose the month and day you would like to take the class. Study manuals will be distributed to trainees after the zoom session or in the in person training classes. Classes are scheduled from 8 AM - 10:30 AM via Zoom or 2 PM - 5 PM in person in Bldg 75 at URI's East Farm. Enter 75 East Farm Rd in your GPS. Bldg 75 is located about 0.6 mile south of Rt. 138 off of Rt. 108. The cost is $175.00.

Training sessions for pesticide credits courses are offered online from 1 PM - 3 PM on Saturdays in January and via the zoom or in person classes. The cost is $50 for the specialized zoom classes in Januaray or $175 for the 2.5 - 3 hour Core Training sessions via zoom or in person. Courses available include:
