Course Description

Learn a digital integrated workflow from the first appointment to the final seated restoration in implant dentistry with CBCT, intraoral scanning, DS Core, 3D Printing and Cerec. We will uncover the digital pearls that are based on the fundamentals of Crown Down restorative implant planning. We will cover case acceptance, proper implant planning, guide selection, 3D printing, temporization and the restorative phase. No matter what stage you are in your digital implant journey, you will be able to implement these concepts in your practice immediately.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the components of a complete digital implant workflow and the role each technology plays, from CBCT, DS Core and intraoral scanning through guided surgery and chairside restoration.
  2. Explain the principles of crown-down (prosthetically driven) implant planning and how merging CBCT data with an intraoral scan informs implant position, angulation, and emergence.
  3. Outline the steps to design, fabricate, and verify a surgical guide, and recognize the case selection criteria for guided implant placement.
  4. Identify the restorative options for a digitally placed implant, including scan body capture, screw-retained versus cement-retained designs, and chairside versus lab-fabricated crowns.
