Introduction
Join colleagues from across the California Community Colleges for a statewide convening focused on advancing international and global education as part of the Vision 2030 International Education Workplan. This in-person convening will bring together faculty, administrators, student services professionals, international education practitioners, and other college leaders to explore how international and global learning can expand opportunities for students and strengthen their preparation for an increasingly interconnected workforce and world.
Participants will learn about the statewide direction for international education, hear early findings from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office international education landscape survey, and explore opportunities including traditional study abroad, international transfer, Study Abroad at Home and the Pan-African Virtual College, faculty professional development, student engagement, and partnerships. Whether your college has an established international education program or is just beginning to explore global learning, the convening will provide practical information, connections, and opportunities to share input that will help shape continued implementation of the workplan.
