UCCS Mountain Lions Softball Fall Prospect Camp


Take your game to the next level and experience what it is like to be a student-athlete at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Hosted at the UCCS athletic facilities at the base of Pikes Peak, our Softball Prospect Camp provides elite high school players and future collegiate athletes a direct opportunity to train with and be evaluated by Uccs coaching staff. 


This high-intensity camp is designed for competitive athletes looking to sharpen their skills, understand the recruitment process, and showcase their talents in front of collegiate coaches and current team members.


Camp Highlights:

  • Advanced Skill Instruction: Receive position-specific training and small-group instruction from Head Coach Rachel Quintero, the coaching staff and current players. Drill work covers advanced defensive mechanics, hitting, baserunning, and pitching/catching evaluations.
  • Live Showcase & Gameplay: Put your skills to the test during competitive live situations and showcase games, allowing coaches to evaluate your performance in real-time game environments.
  • Recruiting & Mentorship Q&A: Participate in an open discussion regarding NCAA rules, guidelines, and what it takes to play at the next level. Connect directly with current UCCS softball athletes to get genuine insight into the program culture and daily life on campus.
  • Campus Tour: Take a guided look around our scenic mountain campus in Colorado Springs, consistently ranked as one of the top destinations for student-athletes.

What to Bring

  • Full softball gear (glove, bat, helmet, batting gloves, and catcher's equipment if applicable)
  • Molded cleats or turf shoes (no metal cleats allowed if utilizing indoor facilities and turf field)
  • Water bottle and sunscreen
  • Copy of a current sports physical

8th grade to junior college

No refunds. Can be credited toward a future camp


Transportation plan

Drop off softball field at 9:30am and pickup softball field at 4:00pm.

I/we, the undersigned, hereby certify that I am/we are the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the camper. I/we hereby authorize the staff of the UCCS sports camps to act for me according to their best judgment in providing or arranging for emergency care in any emergency requiring medical attention. I/we hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless UCCS employees, suppliers, sponsors, and participants for any and all liability and for any and all injuries or illness incurred while at camp. I/we acknowledge that participation in this camp may result in accidents and/or injuries. Even though I know that there are risks involved, I still give my approval for my child to participate in any and all camp activities and I expressively assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation. I have no knowledge of any physical impairment or health problems that would be affected by my child’s participation in the UCCS Summer Camps. By signing this form, I/we acknowledge that I have read and understand the above warning.

 

I agree to assume all risk of personal injury or loss, bodily injury (including death), damage to or loss of, or destruction of any personal property resulting from or arising out of participation in the designated activity. I also release, waive, indemnify, hold harmless, and discharge the University of Colorado from all claims, damages, and injuries arising out of my activities, including my use of equipment and facilities provided by the University of Colorado.

Participants in university activities are sometimes photographed and videotaped for use in University of Colorado promotional, educational and research programs. Such audio, video, film and/or print images may be edited, duplicated, distributed, reproduced, broadcast, and/or reformatted in any form and manner without payment of fees.

The University of Colorado does not provide health insurance for individuals participating in activities made available or sponsored by the University of Colorado. As such, you or your personal health insurance will be responsible for payment of medical services and care for any injuries sustained during the designated activity.

I hereby certify that I have read and understand the provisions above. For participants under 18 years of age, the parent or guardian accepts the above terms and grants permissions for the student’s participation on behalf of said minor, as permitted by C.R.S. § 13-22-107.
