Parking Permits & Hours

• Free Hours:
  Campus parking is free before 8:00 AM and after 4:00 PM, as well as on Sundays (please confirm local signage upon arrival).
• Virtual Permits:
  Stanford uses virtual parking permits linked to your vehicle's license plate. Purchase your permit via ParkMobile before parking and ensure your license plate details are accurate.
• Affiliate Rates:
  For SLAC/Stanford affiliates, C parking permits are $8/day and A parking permits are $22/day. C parking is recommended as the lower-cost option.

Parking Locations

• Roth Lot: Closest option to the venue (primarily A parking), but strictly limited to a 4-hour maximum for visitor parking. Adding additional time beyond 4 hours is subject to lot occupancy and is not guaranteed.
• Stock Farm Garage: Best for full-day parking (8-hour maximum for visitors). Offers A, C, and visitor parking options.
• Via Ortega Garage: Best for full-day parking (8-hour maximum for visitors). Offers A and visitor parking options.

Dedicated Conference Shuttle (Stanford Guest House & SLAC Employees)

A dedicated Marguerite shuttle will run from the Stanford Guest House directly to LKS Center Monday through Friday during the conference week (August 24–28).

Pickup Time: 7:15 AM → Drop-off at LKS Center: 7:30 AM

Pickup Time: 7:45 AM→ Drop-off at LKS Center: 8:00 AM

Pickup Time: 8:15 AM → Drop-off at LKS Center: 8:30 AM

Pickup Time: 8:45 AM → Drop-off at LKS Center: 9:00 AM

SLAC Line (SLAC Employees & Attendees Coming from Stanford Guest House)

The SLAC Line connects the SLAC Arrillaga Science Center (B057) and the SLAC LCLS Office Building (B901) with the Science & Engineering Quad (SEQ) on the main Stanford campus. Bus stops are located on Via Ortega, Sand Hill Rd, Loop Rd, and Pep Ring Rd.

• Frequency: Departures every 40 minutes from SLAC Arrillaga Science Center (B057)
• Service hours: 7:00 AM – 8:20 PM

📍 The Science & Engineering Quad (SEQ) stop is conveniently located near the conference venue — SLAC attendees can ride directly to/from campus without needing to drive or park.

Other Campus Shuttle Lines

• If you are taking public transportation or staying around the Stanford campus, you may be able to use one of the other Marguerite shuttle lines to reach LKS Center. View all routes and schedules here. 
• Shuttles run approximately every 40 minutes.
• Morning departures before the 9:00 AM first session include shuttles at approximately 7:24 AM, 8:04 AM, and 8:44 AM — plan accordingly.
• Attendees staying at hotels along El Camino Real should note that Marguerite routes may require a transfer. Please check the Stanford Marguerite schedule for the most up-to-date routes and stops.

Boarding Time: 

Please meet at the bus by 4:00 PM (Buses depart promptly at 4:15 PM)

Departure Locations:

• Li Ka Shing Center (LKSC): 291 Campus Dr (Bus Stop 177), Stanford, CA 94305
• SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory: Bldg. 53 (2575 Sand Hill Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025)

Destination: 

Pier 3, Hornblower Landing, Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94111 (Arrival around 5:30 PM)

Pickup Time: 

9:15 PM from Pier 3

Return Routes: 

All buses will drop off first at SLAC Bldg. 53 (~10:15 PM) and then proceed to Li Ka Shing Center (LKSC) (~10:30 PM).

Hotel Drops: 

One designated bus will continue past LKSC to provide drop-offs at selected conference hotels (including Hotel Keen, Best Western Plus Riviera, and Hotel Lucent).
