Online Self-paced: Self-paced online learning allows you to determine the time of content delivery. At your home or in your office, log in and work through the content delivery on your schedule.
Course Instructions
Each course module is designed to be completed in 1–4 hours and includes a combination of readings, instructional videos, curated external resources, and self-assessments to reinforce understanding. Learners may progress through the material at their own pace and return to modules whenever needed.
Courses are grouped into three categories: fundamentals, nuclear security, and nuclear safeguards. The fundamentals modules provide the scientific, technical, and conceptual grounding needed to understand more advanced topics in nuclear safeguards and security. These introductory modules are designed for learners from diverse backgrounds, including policy, engineering, science, and national security, and require no prior experience with nuclear technology. We recommend beginning with the “Introduction to Nuclear Safeguards and Security” module. It provides a comprehensive overview of the key concepts, institutions, and practices that form the foundation of modern safeguards and nuclear security.
