The Symposium on Child & Youth Trauma is an annual conference aimed at improving the delivery of trauma-informed services for children and youth. The Symposium will take place at the Palais des congrès of Montreal with the option to join virtually.

Join us for fascinating presentations on child and youth trauma, including talks by this year's keynote speakers: Dr. Peter Fonagy, Dr. Garine Papazian-Zohrabian, and Karly Church. There will also be many other presentations to choose from on themes ranging from trauma in youth and marginalized populations, including Indigenous, migrant, and LGBTQ2S+ communities, as well as survivors of exploitation to different approaches to healing and the importance of supporting caregivers and their environments.

The Canadian Consortium on Child and Youth Trauma is a partnership that was established in 2020, bringing together hundreds of researchers, practitioners, clinicians, and policy makers in the field of childhood trauma. It is hosted at McGill University and comprises six primary projects, including the Symposium.

Children, youth, and communities need resources and support that are trauma-informed, healing-centered, rights-respecting, and culturally-relevant. Our mission is to unify and enhance social responses to child and youth trauma through advancements in research, practice, policy, and law in a way that strengthens individual, family, and community resilience.

For practitioners, policy makers, researchers and students working with children and anyone interested by the subject.

All presentations are simultaneously translated in English and French and all materials are available in both languages.

Presentations are broadcasted live, with recordings available to participants for 3 months after the event.

Certificate of attendance provided to all participants, recognized as CE credits by many orders.
