Basic First Aid Level C is a fast-paced, instructor -led, 1-day (8 hours) course designed to prepare you, as a workplace first aider, to recognize an injury or illness, call and inform emergency medical services (EMS), and provide basic first aid care to the injured or ill worker.
This course is a CSA-compliant first aid course and is ideal for individuals who want or require basic information on first aid and CPR/AED for their workplace, school or personal interest. The certification length is valid for 3 years.
Note: Employers and organizations decide on their first aid course based on their jurisdiction’s regulatory requirements, so before you choose a course to fulfill a workplace first aid requirement, talk to your employer or organization.

· Roles and responsibilities of a first aid provider
· First aid legislation and regulations
· Emergency scene management
· Shock, unconsciousness and fainting
· Head and spinal injuries
· Cardiovascular emergencies
· Adult CPR/AED and choking
· Child and Infant CPR/AED and choking
· Asthma and severe allergies
· Bleeding and wound care
· Burns
· Medical conditions, including diabetic emergencies and seizures
· Heat and cold injuries
· Musculoskeletal system
· Mental health

The fee(s) for this course is as follows:
$95.00 for Non-SickKids Staff (public)
$85.00 for SickKids-Staff.
This course fee does not include the manual.
Cancellation Policy
If cancelled more than 2 weeks' prior to the course a full refund will be provided. If less than 2 weeks' notice is provided 50% of course fee will be refunded.
