Who It's For:

This course is designed for carpet inspectors, cleaning technicians, and restoration professionals focused on extending the life of carpets through proper repair and reinstallation. It’s also ideal for carpet technicians working toward their Master Textile Cleaner or Master Fire and Smoke Restorer designations.

Upon completing this course, you’ll gain a thorough understanding of carpet repair and reinstallation techniques and procedures. You’ll be equipped with the specialized skills needed to service residential and commercial clients, or even to start your own carpet repair business.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician course provides a balanced curriculum combining technical instruction and safety best practices. You’ll learn how to address the common challenges and repair scenarios encountered in the field. Specifically, you’ll learn to:

• Recognize and prevent installation problems that may arise during carpet cleaning
• Operate essential reinstallation equipment and tools
• Understand and follow CRI 104/105 industry standards
• Safely perform reinstallation and advanced repair techniques, including bonding inserts from the top, pile grafting on cut and loop pile, and special repair procedures
• Identify different types of carpet damage and apply appropriate repair methods, including seam repairs, stretching, and wrinkle removal
• Repair carpet delamination and other structural issues

DETAILS

• After passing the final exam with a score of 75% or higher, you’ll earn your Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician certification.
• This certification also fulfills one of the requirements toward your Master Fire and Smoke Restorer or Master Textile Cleaner designations.
• The course qualifies for 14 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) with the IICRC.

More Than 31 Days Before the Class Start Date

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class and notify us more than 31 days prior to the start date, you may choose one of the following options:

• Transfer your seat to another individual within your organization, or
• Reschedule to another class date of the same course or one of equivalent value.
  
  

Within 31 Days of the Class Start Date

• If you are unable to attend and notify us within 31 days of the class start date, you may transfer your seat to another individual within your organization for the same scheduled date. No rescheduling or additional changes will be permitted due to contractual commitments with the training organization and instructor.
  
  

CLASS CANCELLATIONS BY ARAMSCO

Aramsco will make every reasonable effort to reschedule you for an alternative class based on your availability. A full refund will be issued only if Aramsco is unable to provide an alternative class or determines that extenuating circumstances warrant a refund.

TRAVEL PLAN POLICY

Aramsco is not responsible for any travel-related losses. We recommend purchasing refundable or flexible airline tickets to avoid potential issues.

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Students attending Aramsco/Safety Express hosted classes agree to adhere to the following code of conduct. Failure to adhere to the code may result in their removal from the class.

• Payment for classes is required in full prior to class.
• Students must use a device with a camera and microphone, along with a strong internet connection.
• Students must participate from a static location that is quiet, free from disturbances, and allows for full concentration on the class instructor and content.
• Departures from the class should be kept to a minimum.
• Cameras must remain enabled, and the video communication technology window must remain active throughout the entire class.
• The minimum contact time for each class requires students must participate for the entirety of the class to be eligible to take the exam. This is an IICRC regulation.
