Climate Frontiers: Energy and Climate at UChicago is an annual day-long program of special events demonstrating the scale and breadth of the University’s activities on energy and climate change. The slate of events includes a Climate Showcase and Student Poster Session that highlight the field-defining research underway at UChicago; a Climate & Energy Career Fair that allows students to better understand the diverse climate and energy career paths; and a Leadership Forum featuring University of Chicago faculty in conversation with senior leaders focused on core topics central to the climate and growth challenge. It’s hosted by UChicago’s Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth.
As part of Climate Frontiers 2026, the Center for Climate, Health, and Society (CHAS) at UChicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice is launching a new chapter focused on how climate change is reshaping health, inequality, and the well-being of communities. This special event—Climate, Health and the Future of Community Resilience—will bring together nationally recognized voices alongside University, civic, health, and community leaders to explore how we can build healthier and more resilient communities in a changing climate.
