Registration Overview

  • The 55th Dredging Engineering Short Course will be taught face to face on the campus of Texas A&M University.
  • The course includes a mixture of lectures and laboratory exercises, as well as a Q & A panel.
  • This course is administered by the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Center for Dredging Studies, Department of Ocean Engineering, with organizational assistance from Texas Engineering Experiment Station.
  • All participants will receive an electronic (PDF) copy of all course notes/lecture materials.
  • Participants completing the course:
    • will receive a certificate and are eligible for 3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
    • will also receive 1 year membership to WEDA, Western Dredging Association.

Enrollment

Advance enrollment is required and may be made by individuals or companies. Since this is a high-demand course, early registration is encouraged. Course registration will close once seats are sold out. Please register and pay the course fee online by credit card or request prior approval for government organizational invoicing.

This is an introductory course for non-engineers and engineers and is recommended for:

  • Dredging and Environmental Consulting Firms
  • Dredging Companies
  • Construction Companies
  • Corps of Engineers, Ports, Federal/State Regulatory Agencies
  • Others with an interest in dredging and dredged material placement
  • Non-refundable
  • Credit Card or Electronic Check - Please have payment ready to apply during registration.
  • Request Approval for Invoicing / Wire Transfer
    • Payment must be received by December 1, 2025.
    • Please note that if you plan to apply payment via a wire transfer, a standard $30 fee will apply.
  • No cancellations will be granted after December 1, 2025.

There are a number of hotels located conveniently near the Texas A&M University campus and the course classroom space. A room block has been reserved in the following hotels specifically for Dredging course guests.  All venues for the Short Course are a ten to twenty minute walk from the Short Course hotels. Need to park on campus? The nearest parking garage to the Zachry Building is the TAMU Polo Garage. This garage is open for paid parking every day of the week.

Hotel Transportation to Campus

A van shuttle will run periodically from the three hotels listed above (The George, Cavalry Court, Hampton Inn College Station Hotel) to a drop off point outside the classroom building.
