This  session will help you to gain an overview of activities undertaken  around PFAS in Australia and New Zealand. The first Trans-Tasman  workshop on PFAS was organised in September 2019 at the University of  Auckland with participants from industry, government and research  institutions. The session will summarise the main points discussed, and  the priorities identified to improve the management of PFAS.

Melanie Kah,

Senior Lecturer,

School  of Environment at the University of Auckland

Melanie Kah has recently joined the School  of Environment at the University of Auckland as a Senior Lecturer. She  has more than 10-year experience in research into the fate of  contaminants in the environment. Her expertise into the fate of ionic  and ionisable compounds and their interactions with carbonaceous  materials is particularly relevant when dealing with issues related to  the fate and remediation of PFAS.
