Certification - Simple Higher Ed's Inaugural User Conference

Nothing replaces the high-impact environment of our in-person Administrator Certification. By joining us at the conference, you gain much more than a credential; you immerse yourself in a collaborative community of power users. We’ve designed the conference and certification to work in tandem. The main conference sessions provide the high-level strategy and industry insights, while the fast-paced certification course delivers the technical mastery needed to execute those ideas.

While the certification sessions are packed full and cover advanced content on how to use the software, you won't have to navigate your specific campus challenges alone. Your registration grants you access to our Learning Lab, where you can meet one-on-one with our expert staff to troubleshoot your unique integration hurdles.

You’ll return to campus not just with a new badge and certificate, but with a powerful network of peers and the "day-one" readiness that only comes from this immersive, face-to-face expert guidance.

Our certification program is built upon the foundational knowledge gained in the Administrator Training Course, diving deep into four critical modules that cover the most complex aspects of system administration.

This course is designed to provide advanced-level administrators with the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to maximize their institution's use of Simple Syllabus.

The certification also includes unlimited access to course materials and real-time course updates. The certification is valid for three (3) years.

The curriculum is structured around four in-depth modules, focusing on best practices and advanced configuration:

Site Maintenance

Learn best practices and proactive strategies for keeping your Simple Syllabus site running smoothly, efficiently, and securely throughout the academic year.

Integrations Management

Gain a thorough understanding of how your integrations function. This module provides expert guidance on troubleshooting common issues and optimizing data exchange between systems.

Managing Syllabi

Receive expert guidance on efficiently managing and maintaining required documents and policies for every term, ensuring compliance and data integrity.

Customizing Your Site

Unlock the full potential of your site's appearance and functionality. Learn how to add custom messages, define specialized user roles, and apply custom styling to tailor the system to your institution's unique needs.

Upon completion of the advanced course content, you will take the final certification exam.

Testing Options

We offer flexible options to complete your certification:

Onsite Testing: Take the final exam immediately following the course sessions during the conference.
Remote Testing: Take the exam on your own time, starting any time after the conference concludes. The exam must be completed within two weeks of the conference end date.

Certification

Passing Score: Achieve a score of 80% or higher on the final exam.
Credential: Successfully passing the exam will officially deem you Simple Syllabus Certified.

Simple Syllabus Certification: $299

Completion of the Simple Syllabus Administrator Training is preferred, so you have a basic knowledge of the software and can take full advantage of the advanced course.
Attendees must bring a laptop for the duration of the course and have access to your institution's sandbox. We will not have loaner devices available, and hands-on participation is a critical component of this advanced training.
