Looking for a challenging residency level education without the 1 year commitment?

This course is it!!!

The objective of this seminar series is to train the participant in the skills required to implement the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy's (AOPT) Clinical Practice Guidelines at a high level. It will be 12 days of fast-paced skill-building that is based on the best available evidence (CPGs), delivered in four 3-day sessions. Each session is regionally based, thoroughly covering the knowledge and skill required to manage conditions in each region using recommended best practices. You will have the choice to take all four sessions, 12 days total, or to choose individual sessions (each lasting three days) based on your needs.

The primary instructor, Dr. Joe Godges, will be using a "flipped" classroom design, utilizing pre-class assignments to facilitate and optimize time spent on in-person, hands-on psychomotor coaching and clinical reasoning training.

Dr. Godges has collaborated with an AOPT vendor partner, PhysioU, to create a learning management system containing interactive learning modules, digital decision trees, procedure videos, and handouts derived from the AOPT’s Clinical Practice Guidelines for Common Musculoskeletal Conditions. This LMS and PhysioU's Ortho PT-related apps – Clinical Pattern Recognition and Exercise Patterns – provide extensive knowledge on CPG implementation strategies. The LMS also has integrative decision trees, handouts summarizing the content, and videos of the procedures he will cover in the Seminars, which can serve the participants as recall and practice tools. All participants will be expected to have this foundational knowledge walking in the classroom door.

Dr. Godges will train skills built upon that knowledge level beginning on day one and throughout the 12-days of the seminar.
