Objectives: Participants of this program will:

1. Articulate ways in which certification provides value to the credential holder and employer

2.Gain insights into patient perceptions of specialty nurse certification.

3. Identify one impact certification may have in addressing health disparities

4. Identify ONCC Credentials and related eligibility requirements relevant to your practice

5. Describe resources available for nurses to help prepare for testing

6. Identify 1 way you can plan an individual study plan and prepare for testing

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #16496, for 1.8 hours (pending).

FAQ's:

1. Who can register for PSONS education events? PSONS members or non-members can register for PSONS education events.

2. What are the fees associated with PSONS education events? Virtual registration is free for all attendee types. Non-members pay $10 (subject to change) for in-person events.

3. What comes with in-person registration? Attendance to the presentation and a meal.

4. What should I know about hybrid events?

Zoom meeting link goes live at 6 p.m. You must be registered to attend.
In-person attendees can check-in starting at 5:30 p.m.
Dinner presentation begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.

5. What do I need to know about CEs for PSONS events?

You must attend at least 75% of the presentation AND complete the required survey feedback to get CE credits.
You will automatically get an email with the link to a certificate once you complete your survey.

6. What do I do if:

I signed up for in-person registration but cannot attend: Modify your registration to cancel or switch to virtual attendee through your confirmation email link or by visiting the event site.
I need a copy of my receipt: Go to your confirmation email to find the link to reprint your receipt.
I did not get my CE certficate: Make sure that you complete the GENERAL Feedback survey for the event. This will trigger your certificate link email.
I would like a refund: Refunds are on a case-by-case basis. Restrictions may apply. You will need to reach out to anna.canoy@swedish.org to discuss your request. Credit card fees will not be refunded.
