Our great organization is non-profit and has been representing San Francisco Bay Area Municipal, County, and Special Districts since it's formation in 1961 (the Maintenance Superintendents Association incorporated in 1966). We are comprised of multiple Chapters throughout California and Arizona with a membership of over 2100. Our members are public works managers, supervisors, and crew leaders as well as the vendors, service contractors and consultants who provide us support.
Our members represent many vital areas of Public Works and they receive the latest information through our monthly meetings, annual conferences, and trainings. We provide a venue to network with our colleagues, stay current with the latest practices and procedures, and stay up to date with the latest technologies in products, materials, and services.
The Association is dedicated to educating its members. We provide scholarships, professional development and educational opportunities. We offer an online Public Works Specialist Certification with over 15 online classes.
Our current Board is comprised of many local experienced professionals and vendors. Please take a moment to view our website www.sfmsa.org and please feel free to contact any of our Board Members for more information.
Our general membership meetings are held each month along with administrative professional recognition, equipment and training show, golf tournament, scholarship awards, annual conference and holiday program.
