Overview

Please join us for a workshop being hosted as part of SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory’s X-ray and Ultrafast Strategic Initiative. The workshop is focused on advancing the durability of energy technologies through mastery of fundamental processes leading to material degradation and failure. This workshop aims to identify new research opportunities essential for revolutionizing our ability to observe critical initial degradation events and cascading processes, develop predictive mechanistic models, and design novel mitigation strategies rooted in fundamental materials science. Your expertise can help shape the path toward durable, high-performance energy materials and technologies by defining the cross-cutting research developments needed to underpin this emerging field.
