Training course I ChatGPT 1.0 for finance professionals

This course will introduce finance professionals to the basics of ChatGPT, a generative AI powered assistant, to enhance their productivity and decision-making. Participants will learn about ChatGPT features and capabilities, and practice applying use cases with a focus on finance such as data analysis, research, document drafting, presentation creation, and email communication. The course will also cover best practices, tips, and limitations of using ChatGPT, including prompt engineering as well as some ethical and security considerations.

- Strategies for eliciting the most relevant and accurate responses from ChatGPT
- Understanding the limitations of ChatGPT and how to prevent misinformation by recognising and mitigating hallucinations
- Techniques for crafting initial and follow-up prompts to maximise output quality
- Best practices for using ChatGPT to analyse, draft, and/or summarise common source documents, such as Excel and PDF documents, including streamlining daily operations with ChatGPT
- Practical applications in finance, such as leveraging ChatGPT for in-depth research and due diligence of companies and industries, data analysis, drafting proposals and presentations, brainstorming innovative solutions, and performing daily administrative tasks
Prerequisites: Participants should have some experience and working knowledge of using Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Participants are recommended to have a paid subscription of ChatGPT, however, the class can be run with free subscriptions as well. Participants with a free subscription will not be able to follow certain demos.
