Centrum’s Jazz Port Townsend workshop is open to instrumentalists and singers high school-aged (14) and above. Approximately 160 participants focus on developing improvisational skills in a small group (combo) setting. Master classes and performances are given each day by over 30 world-class faculty, all hand-picked by Artistic Director Dawn Clement. The week culminates in a series of concerts in which all participants have an opportunity to perform.
$995 Tuition includes all workshop activities and concerts held Monday, July 20 through Sunday, July 26.
Auditions are required for both instrumentalists and vocalists. Visit our Jazz Port Townsend webpage for information about auditions. Financial aid is available. Please apply for scholarships before May 11, 2026 as you register.

Refund policy: A $300 deposit ($50 for scholarship applicants) is required. This deposit is non-refundable, with two exceptions; 1) You have applied for financial aid and are unable to attend because we cannot award your full request (you must notify us by the cancellation deadline), or 2) Your audition is not accepted, in which case you will receive a full refund. PLEASE understand that as soon as you register, your deposit is spent on housing and meal deposits, and many other costs we incur to prepare for your experience at Jazz Port Townsend.
