Thurman Thomas has created quite the name for himself after an impressive football career. His career highlights include:
- NFL’s 9th ranked rusher (12,074 rushing yards, 4,458 receiving yards)
- 65 rushing touchdowns and 23 receiving touchdowns
- Voted to the Pro Bowl five straight years
- Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007
In addition to his success on the field, Thomas has a rich history of successful business and political activities that resulted from his long association with the NFL, including his position on the New York State Tourism Board, and the founding of Legends Energy which was ultimately acquired by NRG Energy. Thurman Thomas, along with his family, also started the Thurman Thomas Family Foundation that provides scholarships to students in need and other community supportive endeavors.
